- Some Types of Advancing Cataracts
- Some Systemic Medications

Digital technology enables us to screen for eye disease and to monitor changes to the internal anatomy of your eyes. Taking a photograph is painless and is the best baseline from which we can work from. Our notes are good, but a photo is better.

You should have a retinal photograph if you are:
- Diabetic
- Have a strong lens prescription
- HIV+ or have AIDS
- At risk for Macular Degeneration (ie., over the age of 60)
- At risk for Glaucoma
- High Blood Pressure
- A history of eye disease
- A history of retinal detachment
- A history of cancer
- Take medications known to have ocular side effects
